Image quality
is highly important in order to achieve the best print possible.
We adjust each photo to make it look it's very best, but it
is important that you provide a good quality photo. Below you
will find some tips to help you get superb print quality photos.
The minimum resolution for a good print quality photo is 1224 x 1632.
:: Digital
Camera Settings::
If you are using a digital camera, make sure you have it set
on the highest resolution setting possible (300 dpi is best)
and the least amount of compression. Also, turn off the date
stamp feature on your camera. (In the event that the date is
present on the picture, we will do our best to remove it.)
:: Scanner
Settings::
When scanning your photo, scan it at a resolution of 300 dpi
and save it as a .jpg or .tif file. It is crucial that your
scanner and photo be clear of any dust particles. Wipe down
your scanner and photo.
:: Professional
Photos ::
When using
a professional photo, you must get permission from the photographer.
It is unlawful for us to reproduce images that are copyrighted
without the expressed written permission of the person or entity
that created the original image. You will need to fill out a
Limited
Liability Form and fax it to us upon completion. If we suspect
a photo that you are submitting was taken by a professional
photographer, we will ask you to submit a "declaration
of copyright ownership" form that will be provided via
email.
:: Sending
your photo ::
:: Digital
Photos ::
E-mail the raw, unedited and uncropped photo as a .jpg or .tif
file to info@shesaidyesannouncements.com.
Do not compress the file to make it e-mail friendly and be sure
to include your name in the e-mail. We will make any adjustments
necessary to achieve the best print possible. Guidelines for
digital photos:
Photos
must be at least 300 dpi.
Photos
should be in raw form - uncropped and unedited.
:: Physical
Photos ::
If you have a physical photo, and do not have a scanner, you
can mail it to us. Contact
us for our mailing address. Your photo will be returned
to you with your order. Guidelines for physical photos:
We can
accept prints up to 8x10".
We ask
that prints be originals, by that we mean that they not be
copies you have made at "copy kiosks." Such copies
will not yield the best quality possible.
:: If you
are unsure about the photo you want to use, send it to us and
we will give you our professional opinion. If you would like,
you can send us several photos - your favorite and a backup or
two. We will let you know if we feel that your photo will not
produce a good print. ::
